SAGRI 2nd partners’ meeting took place at the “Colégio do Espírito Santo”, the main administrative building of the University of Évora, Évora-Portugal on the 9th and 10th of November 2017.
On the first day, Mr. Vangelis Dimitriou (Agricultural University of Athens), presented the administrative and the financial management of the SAGRI project. Moreover, Dr. Mohamed presented the objectives and the main goal of the project, the training modules, the management activities and the work that has been done for the first year of the project. Prof. Fátima Baptista (University of Évora), presented the description, the objectives, the completed tasks and results of WP2 (Analysis of skills needs for agricultural workers), as WP leader, while Mrs. Frederica de Paola (ERIFO), presented the description, the objectives, the tasks, the milestones and the results of the next WP (Development of the training, assessment and accreditation), as WP leader. After that, Mrs. Katerina Kostakou (EUROTraining) presented both the website and the platform, while Mr. Lopes (REGIBIO) proposed a strategy plan for the implementation of the WP5 (Course delivery and pilot testing). Finally, it was held the meeting of Quality Assurance Committee (QAC).
On the second day of the meeting, the project officer of the project was present and for this reason a short brief from the 1st day was given to her. After that, Prof. Pietro Picuno (UNIBAS) presented the tasks and the milestones of WP6 (Quality Assurance) and Dr. Essam Mohamed (Agricultural University of Athens) presented the description, the completed tasks and results of WP7 (Evaluation). The representative from Confagricoltura informed all the partners for the dissemination progress of the project and that they will send the final versions of the dissemination portfolio so that all partners can use them in their respective dissemination activities. Another important point was the exploitation plan of the project and for this reason CAP will send a template for the sustainability and exploitation actions expected by each partner including the prevision of resources needs. Finally, there were two more presentations. One regarding the role of INASO-PASEGES in the project and one regarding the role of SWISS APPROVAL in the project. The certification process is a crucial part for the project and all agreed that the EQF level 5 is too high for the farmers of the three countries and it should be decreased. Once the presentations of all WPs have been performed and all partners have identified their role in the project, a round table discussion took place and several issues were discussed.
